"The Lemon Face Challenge" a worthy cause to support

4 years after the Ice Bucket Challenge raised $115 million for the fight against ALS, there's a new challenge springing up to raise awareness for another type of brain tumor that affects childrens.
This should make America’s citrus farmers very happy. This new challenge is called The Lemon Face Challenge, and it involves biting into a wedge of lemon and swallowing it Instead of dumping ice-cold water on themselves, and posting their best sour faces online. The challenge is meant to raise awareness of DIPG and encourage people to donate to the fight against it .back in 2014,  German YouTubers star did it to raise money for hunger prevention around the world.

Today, The challenge is meant for a new cause,it was launched by Aubreigh Nicholas from Mobile, Alabama. Aubreigh was diagnosed in September 2017 with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Gliomas (DIPG) – a brain tumor considered as one of the most dangerous forms of child cancer. no cure for it, and kills 90% of children  within two years of their diagnosis.

Aubreigh and her family,  refuse to give up. They started a Facebook page of Aubreigh’s Army and posted a video where Aubreigh kicked off the challenge. After taking the challenge herself, she nominated Alabama football coach Nick Saban to join her, and he did it.

A YouCaring Fundraising page has raised over $40,000  for Aubreigh's tumor treatment. people now are even becoming more aware of DIPG. Those who have already participated in the challenge also — the hosts of Good Morning Britain, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and Mississippi State Senator, Michael Watson.

So, clearly, this thing is beginning to make its way up the ranks. Sooner or later it’ll get up to President Trump, and he has to do it, right? Even if he has to wash it down with a few bites of well-done steak and a glass of water (which we’ll tell him are liberal tears).

Now, it’ll be tough for the Lemon Face Challenge to get quite as big as the Ice Bucket Challenge, which was everywhere for months, but even a little bit of awareness can go a long way. Best of luck to Aubreigh and her family who are doing great work raising awareness about this illness despite what must be a tough and painful time.
